To God Be the Glory!

Josh and I have been so very busy the past week and a half, and we are so thankful for God's blessing in our lives!  So to bring you a quick little update :)  Our wedding is scheduled for November 28th of this year!  Only 74 days to!...and it will go by so fast!

Many things are getting checked off the list, and it has been a blessing :)  I am so thankful for the help of Josh's wonderful sisters, Heidi and Amber, that are pitching in and lending a hand in anything they can.  And I am also very thankful for my sweet friend Elissa, who is also being a huge blessing in all of the wedding plans!  God is so very good to me :)

Lists made, music completed, dresses ordered (and some received!), and so much more!  God is good, and it is a blessing to see stuff coming to completion :)

My sweetheart is teaching a class this week, so wedding planning together will have to wait until this week is over, but the days will fly by, and our wedding will be here before we know it!  So exciting!

And one more picture I wanted to share with you that a sweet lady from church took of us at registration a few weeks ago....

We will do our best to keep you all posted in the days to come!  It might not be as often, but we'll be sure to continue sharing all of God's wonderful blessings in our lives!

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Hannah's Bridal Shower

I'm taking a little detour from sharing about Josh and I to sharing about a friend of mine who is getting married on October 10th.  Hannah asked me several months ago to be her personal attendant, and I was honored that she would ask!  Last night was her bridal shower, and we had a lot of fun catching up with each other - and of course, opening gifts :)  Lol!  Just wanted to share a few pictures!

Friends!  The bride-to-be is front and center :)

Hannah (left) and Elissa (right) ~ thanking for wonderful friends!

We're getting married seven weeks apart, so talking wedding plans was a lot of fun!

Praying for Hannah and Jeremy as they begin this new chapter of their lives in just four weeks!  May the Lord bless them in the days ahead!

Ecclesiastes 3:11a...

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time..."

My Beautiful Engagement Ring :)

On Sunday, Joshua presented me with a beautiful ring as a token of our engagement.  Many people have asked to see it, so I wanted to share of a picture of it with you! It's so very pretty, and I am so blessed!  I love you, Josh :)

Presentation of Engagement Ring!

Hello Joshua and Heather!

It has been an amazing past few weeks, and now another new season has begun. We wanted to stop by your blog and share what the Lord has now done. So to all your readers, Loretta and I, along with Joshua's parents, are delighted to share that a ring has been presented as a token of your engagement and commitment to each other to be married

The Bible says, "Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD."  Proverbs 18:22

Also, "Two are better than one: because they have a good reward for their labour."  Ecclesiastes 4:9

And lastly (for now) 😉, "He hath made everything beautiful in his time..."  Ecclesiastes 3:11

Watching and being a part of your courtship certainly has been a front row seat to fulfillment of Ecclesiastes 3:11, with much more beauty to come.  We are delighted to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, "All things (do) work together for good to them that love God . . . . .".  Your love for God is shed abroad, your love for one another is beautiful, and your love for others is lived out every single day.

May Christ always be lifted up as you plan to live your life together fulfilling God's will, and may others always see and glorify our Father in Heaven. We are looking forward and eagerly anticipating the days to come.

With love,

Dad and Mom

What Does Heather Know About Josh? (Part 3)

I couldn't wait to get to write another post about the sweet young man the Lord has tremendously blessed my life with!!!  Here are some more things that I want to share with you that I enjoy so much in Josh :)

1) Josh is humble.  He never takes the praise to himself.  Rather, he always reflects the glory to God!
2) Josh is a man of perseverance.  Especially when it comes to all of those IT issues and database bugs, Josh never gives up!
3) Josh will help anyone in any way he can.  Even when he has an already crammed schedule, he will gladly find time to do anything you may ask him or need him to do.
4) Josh loves to give.  I have so many treasures from my sweetheart :) And I am so thankful for the memories that each of them hold!
5) Josh is always optimistic.  He is constantly looking on the bright side of things.
6) Josh counts his blessings.  This kind of ties into #5, but it is still completely separate.  He is always thanking the Lord for His many blessings that He loadeth on us daily.  And it is such an encouragement to my heart!
7) Josh loves to recall memories.  And this one I love!  So many times people participate in something fun and special, but because of the busyness of life, the memory quickly fades.  Not Josh...we spent countless hours sharing memories with each other that we've had separately as well as together.  And now seems like a good time to share a throwback to South Korea....... ;)
8) Josh is a man of God's Word.  He has truly studied to show himself approved unto God!  He loves to dig in the Bible and discover truths for himself, and he loves to talk about the Bible and the many rich treasures that we both find therein!
9) Josh is diligent.  No matter what he is doing, he throws all of his energy into whatever it is that he is doing, and completes the task to the best of his ability.
10) Josh is attentive to details.  Often some little detail I'll miss in a situation, or in something we're reading, or in something we're looking at - Josh will pick up on.  And then that little detail just puts whatever it is into a whole new perspective.  I love that!

I am so thankful for the many, many things God has blessed me with in Josh!  And there is so much more :)

And one more throwback picture from Korea while I'm at it :) .......

I love you, Josh!!!
