Oh my goodness!!! We laughed so hard over this one. But this, my friends, is what happens when you put together the biggest box you could find to pack some stuff in your room and then turn your back for just a moment...........
I love you, Mom!!! We've made so many good memories and had so many wonderful laughs over the years :) You have been my best friend!
Josh and I were blessed to spend a sweet time with some friends of ours - Stephanie and Ivan - last night :) Many laughs and lots of good fellowship! Oh, and we are so excited to have both of them as a part of our wedding!
I feel like the past few weeks have been a blur, and it has been been seemingly forever since I have stopped by and shared some things with you all! But each moment has been a treasured memory and cherished time spent together!! God is so good to me, and I am so thankful for the Godly, loving man He has blessed me with :)
I know that Josh spoke of the two days that he and I spent at Breezy Point with my parents and I wanted to share a few pictures. We spent several hours - working late into the night the first day - working on our wedding invitations. We also enjoyed much time kayaking together, playing carpet ball :) and other outdoor games, and just enjoying each other's company. It was such a blessing!
For a couple weeks Heather and I were sick together... and how we each got the sickness is still not entirely settled. However, at the beginning my sickness manifested itself sooner and my sweetheart Heather felt for me and brought me a precious care package. <3 For those of you who don't know, Grapefruit juice is one of my most favorite things, and I am also a big tea lover. So this was very very special to me! I also was not cold-hearted and shared back some of the cough drops when Heather needed them. :-) It was a difficult time for me as I abstained from sugar and consumed amss quantities of vitamin C, but praise the Lord we did come out of the woods from that sickness!
So we've been through our first sickness together. Oh, and Heather also made us both some chicken noodle soup, which was very very good and was just another indication to me of what a very precious jewel Heather is.
Lots of things have happened in the weeks since I last posted here on our blog. But as the title of this post indicates, it's been busy!
On September 19
Jim and Veybe Davis kindly donated lots of furniture to Heather and me! We picked it up with the help of Jakob Clum's truck- they gave us a couple loveseats, an end table, a coffee table, a nightstand, and a recliner. Praise God! The next day we came back and got a piano, too! We put it in the Smith's garage.
On September 24th and 25th
Heather and I joined the Smith family in a cabin in Minnesota for some fun times along a lake shore! I greatly enjoyed kayaking with Heather, playing carpet ball, ping pong, and other outdoor games, and also indoor games like scrabble (hint: I never won at scrabble) and also putting together and labeling hundreds of wedding invitations.
On September 26th
Upon my return I had some work to catch up on and Heather and I helped out students in Bro. Dan Gwynn's English class
On September 27th - 30th
Heather and I as well as many others from Fargo Baptist enjoyed listening to powerful speakers during Master's Baptist College's College Days! There were sessions from 9:30-12:00 each morning and again from 6:00-8:00 each night. David Gibbs, SM Davis, and RB Ouelette gave wonderful, enthralling messages. I also had wonderful conversations with people who were visiting the college. In the evenings Heather and I helped with the college coffee shop.
On October 1st - 2nd
Was the Heaven 88.7 Share-a-thon! All day was a great time of on-air time for Tim Schaefer, Vickie Bailie and me and we had wonderful helpers manning the phones. God blessed and we surpassed what was raised in the last share-a-thon.
On Saturday October 3rd- Sunday October 4th
I found out that Heather and I would be able to sign on an apartment, which I would then move in to the coming Monday, so I began packing up!
On Monday, October 5th
Heather and I signed new lease papers on the Apartment. Mr. Smith and I moved over the furniture that was in their garage and put it in the apartment, and then he also helped me move my boxes from my old room to my garage at the apartment. Then Heather and I picked up a dining room table from the Minton family who kindly gave one to us!
On Tuesday, October 6th
This was Tim Schaefer's last day being the Station Manager at Heaven 88.7. Since this day I now am on the air from 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM each day and have taken over his responsibilities. Sorry to the students who took my Geography class, I didn't finish grading it yet!
Plenty more has happened, Heather and I have helped with Coffee Shop and Student dinners, we have continued to enjoy times of talking, Bible reading, and prayer together. We both were a part in the Bentson-Paulson wedding last Saturday (Though Heather did far more work than I), and we've also had a session of pre-marital counseling with the Smith parents. There's been honeymoon planning and more. I'm sure we will share more as the time allows!
I love Heather more than ever! 47 days until we are married! God is good!
