A Year In Review...

I wish there was some way I could "cue the music" to play How Beautiful as you all go through this post, but alas, I am not that smart ;)  Lol!  And I know this is a few days early, but I wanted to get to it while I had time.  It is amazing to me that one year (almost - November 28th to be exact) has passed since Josh and I joined hands and hearts at the marriage altar, and the two became one.  It brings tears to my eyes to think of the blessings of our wedding day, and the many wonderful things the Lord has done in our lives this past year.  I stand in awe!  He has blessed us beyond measure <3  This year has flown by, and I am so excited for the many more that we will spend together, enjoying God's blessings!  With our anniversary quickly approaching, I have found myself going down memory lane quite a bit this past week and have enjoyed looking through our many wedding pictures.  And I wanted to share some of them with you all again!

How beautiful the hands that served the wine and the bread and the sons of the earth.

How beautiful the feet that walked
the long dusty roads
and the hills to the cross.

How beautiful, how beautiful,

how beautiful is the body of Christ.

How beautiful the heart that bled that took all my sin and bore it instead.

How beautiful the tender eyes that chose to forgive and never despise.

How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

And as He laid down His life we offer this sacrifice

that we will live just as he died:
willing to pay the price, willing to pay the price

How beautiful the radiant Bride who waits for her Groom with His light in her eyes.

How beautiful when humble hearts give the fruit of pure lives so that others may live.

How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

Do I love you with all my heart?
I DO!!

To God be the glory!!!  Great things HE hath done!  Thank you for continuing to read our blog (even though the posts may be sporadic :D),  and we look forward to sharing many more wonderful blessings with you in the days to come!

Just Some Thoughts :)

Our pastor preached a wonderful message Sunday morning on giving God the glory in our lives and how we are to magnify Him with thanksgiving in everything that we say and do.  A quote he used during the message was really good, and I wanted to share it with you all.  It definitely puts into perspective how great God is and how small we are.  May we truly get a proper perspective of who we really are and who our God really is!!

"We are cripples leaning on the cross shaped crutch of Jesus Christ; we are paralytics living minute by minute in the iron lung of God's mercy; we are children asleep in heaven's stroller. Natural man hates to think of himself in these images: unworthy beneficiary, cripple, paralytic, a child. They rob God of all his glory by not giving it all to God. Therefore, while a man loves his own glory, and prizes his self-sufficiency, and hates to think of himself as sin-sick and helpless, he will never feel any genuine gratitude to the true God and so will never magnify God, but only himself."

Music to God's Glory!

I (Heather) have been spending much time this week preparing for a Music Basics class that I will be teaching at Master's Baptist College this coming January.  It has been intriguing to read different books and watch various videos and such on the topic as they address music from a Biblical standpoint and what God's standards are.  We are to prove what is "acceptable unto the Lord" in everything we do (see Ephesians 5:10), including in the area of music.

But I found a quote during my studies that stuck out to me and I wanted to share it with you all.  This should be our life's motto when it comes to how we view the music we allow into our lives.

"The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." - Johann Sebastian Bach

It is a very challenging thought to consider, and I pray that each of us would consider every area of our lives to see whether it brings glory to God or not.

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
                              1 Corinthians 10:31

If you are every looking for some great resources on Biblical music, check out the following DVD series by Frank Garlock:

May the Lord bless you as you seek to honor and glorify Him in all that you say and do!  To God be the glory!

We Are Excited!!!

I know this is a little late in coming as we have known for a few weeks and announced it on Instagram when we found out, but I am not on our blog often, so I didn't get to it yet :)  But we are very excited to announce that we have found out what our little bundle of joy is!!!!

God is so good, and we can't wait to meet this precious little bundle of joy in just 14 short weeks!  Mommy, Daddy, and Baby Lindsey are all doing well :)  Thank you for your prayers for a healthy pregnancy.  God has blessed!

Uplifting Music!

I have been very busy lately, spending a lot of time working on sewing projects and other things around the home, and listening to some amazing music while I have been at it!  I have a few new cd's, and one of them I have been playing on repeat quite a bit because it has been such a blessing.  I wanted to share one of their songs with you.  I also attached a YouTube video of the Steve Pettit Evangelistic team singing it (it's the same song I have been listening to, just a different artist).  I pray it is a blessing to you!

I'll Never Forsake You

O soul, are you weary from wave upon wave
Of grief and affliction whom no man can save?
Has sickness surrounded, or unending night?
Uncertainty stolen your joy and your might?

O doubting, o fearful– remember His care,
The helpless and hopeless need never despair
For from your afflictions His glory shall spring–
The deeper your sorrow, the louder you’ll sing!

Remember your Father– His promise, His love:
“I’ll never forsake you, this pain will not break you, For I will remake you for unending joy; My promise is faithful though now it is painful;
No power can trample my covenant love.”

Remember your Savior– His grief and His pain,
The lonely affliction, unmerited shame.
Though you had betrayed Him, He died in your place;
The joy set before Him He offers by grace.

Remember your Father– His promise, His love:
“I’ll never forsake you, this pain will not break you, For I will remake you for unending joy; My promise is faithful though now it is painful; No power can trample my covenant love.”

Just a Quick Update!

Hi Friends!

Many apologies for the long time with which I went without posting.  It has been an extremely busy summer and start to fall - along with coping with some lovely morning sickness during my first trimester :)

For a quick pregnancy update - I am currently just over 17 weeks along, and we will go back to our midwife for another checkup on Wednesday.  So far, everything is looking great!  We are looking forward to scheduling the ultrasound when we will find out if God is blessing us with a little boy or a little girl!  We are very excited and thankful for how well everything is going :)

This summer - along with many ministries at church - Josh and I spent a lot of time in a nearby town knocking doors and handing out bags with tracts, Bible studies, and Heaven 88.7 schedules, and other info in them.  We look forward to continuing this outreach in the future as the Lord allows.

Classes have started back up at Master's Baptist College and everyone is working on getting back into the "back to school" routine.  The past three week have been full of prep work, lots of opening days activities, and then Josh teaching this week as classes kicked off.  It has been very busy and the next few weeks and months are going to fly by!

Thank you for keeping up with us - despite my sporadic updates!  May God bless you all and keep serving Jesus!

10K Adventures

Josh and I had the privilege of participating in the events of the Fargo Marathon weekend.  We both registered for the 10K race and enjoyed training and participating in the event.  This was Josh's first time running a long distance race, and he did an amazing job, breaking a personal record on his time!  This was my second year doing it, and we will just say that at least I trained for this year's 6.2 miles unlike last year, even though I didn't hit my goal time due to the heat.  But at least I beat last year's time by 10 minutes :) The day was very warm and a lot of people struggled on all of the race courses, but over all, it was a really fun day!  The links to the videos (Amber!!!) are below, and you can also view our stats and race pictures at those links as well :)

New Adventures...

My newest and latest adventures have been experimenting with essential oils, and I love it!  I've done lip balm, muscle rubs, lotion, and shampoo.  Bug spray, anti-itch cream, and sunscreen is on my list next in preparation for summer!

It has been a lot of fun, and I am super excited to experiment with more recipes soon!

I have also spent some time updating my website today, so head on over and check it out!  I will be adding more products in the near future (I am hoping at least to do so every other week), so stay tuned!  But please check out the things I added today :)  Also, I am offering free shipping to all first-time customers, so please spread the word!

A Quick Catch Up!

I know we've been a bit MIA lately, but we've had a lot going on and not much time to snap pictures :)  But I still wanted to share with all of you a little bit of what we've been doing!

Back in February when I last updated, I had just thrown a baby shower for some good friends of mine.  That week we also had our Family Life Conference at church with Pastor Jeff Farnham.  The messages were amazing and spoke to our hearts.  I always look forward to this uplifting week!  It is so spiritually refreshing and encouraging to my heart :)

Spring forward into March, and we had a wonderful day celebrating my first birthday as a married couple.  God is so good to me, and I am thankful for the amazing man the Lord has blessed me with!  We had a great time together and made some wonderful memories :)  Then I had the blessing of spending some time with my family that evening.

Between teaching music lessons, doing a lot of sewing, organizing, baking, and many other things with my hubby, March flew by - right along with April!  But in the midst of all the busyness, Josh planned a weekend to the cities to bless me with!  We had such a fun time away :)

I trust all of our readers are doing well!  I'll leave you with a few pictures from our spontaneous date night on Tuesday...

...along with a current picture of us just a few minutes ago in the radio station running Heaven 88.7 Sharathon.  Feel free to listen in at !

Baby Shower Fun! :)

Way back in October, I had offered a very sweet friend of mine to throw her baby shower.  Her and her husband are excitedly expecting their first child - a little boy - in April!  It's right around the corner :)  I'm so happy for both of them!  They will make wonderful parents!

Hannah asked for a vintage plane theme for the shower as their little boy's nursery is decorated in vintage planes.  I had way too much fun with this theme, and I snapped a few pictures to share with you all!

Everyone was required to have a passport and boarding pass to enter :)  The turned in their gifts at baggage check, as well as getting their passports stamped!  Baggage claim was where Hannah and Justin opened their gifts, and a Complimentary Meal was provided.  I believe the flight from Stork International Airport to Stork Station was a success!!

Thanks to my friend, Elissa, for helping out!

The happy soon-to-be parents!

Nice hair bow, fits you well :P

SOOOOO cute!!!!

Priceless!!!  These expressions are priceless!

Love you guys, Hannah and Justin!!!  I'm so thankful for the friendship the Lord has built between us!  You all are special to me :)  Josh and I are so excited for you both as the birth of your little one approaches soon!!
